Though there are still many debates about the real value of SEO for content, you need to still take into account the keywords your readers search for. It doesn’t imply that your blog content should be over-stuffed with such search queries. Thus, to understand whether you’ve optimized your content well enough, use an SEO plugin like Yoast. It includes keyword analysis, page content analysis and suggestions on how to tune it up. The features also include sitemap support to help Google and Bing index your blog faster.
Hone your message Use short sentences (10 to 20 words) and paragraphs (2 or 3 sentences) to boil down your message you its essence. This is also a good time to check for grammar and edit out anything unnecessary: modifiers, complex clauses, awkward phrases. Use an active voice, and avoid business jargon, obscure words, stale phrases, and any abstract or confusing ideas. Make it concrete and straightforward.
Ideally, you’ll have somebody to edit your writing. If you’re responsible for writing and editing your web content, don’t do both in the same day. Instead, put it away and come back to it another day — or at least several hours later.
While a lawyer would have the best advice, I have my own general parameters. For example, quoting 150 words from a 300-word article would be too much. In that case, I would limit my use to 25 words. I would be fine quoting 250 words from a 175-page book. I cite poems and song lyrics as little as possible because they’re often short. You should have legal counsel from your fair-use parameters.

Ilys is a tool that can provide you with one of the most unique writing experiences you will ever have. All you have to do is enter the desired word count, and start typing. But, there is a catch: the app will only display the last letter you have typed, and you can’t make any edits until you finish writing. Sounds weird, but it works like a charm.

Effective copywriting requires a marketing slant -- and not every writer is a salesperson. As a marketer, you need to know how important it is to highlight the crucial aspects of a product when you have seven seconds to get your points across.
Going forward, Content Writers and Copywriters must work arm in arm to build traffic, create relationships with customers and consumers and ultimately build the brand. So although they have slightly different responsibilities, it’s paramount to include them both when building websites. However, as Copywriters grow to combine strategic writing with great content, they may just have the best of both worlds. As the term Content Writer is still in its infancy, perhaps we’ll continue to see a cross over as it evolves.

Do what Chuck Holmes suggests: write copy. Re-write the ads you come across in your life. Ask yourself “why did the copywriter take that approach? Why use that particular word? Why focus on that aspect?” Ruin your TV watching by studying the commercials.
